A Veteran’s Legacy

A Veteran's LegacyGracie Mae Publications is honored to present A Veteran’s Legacy. This journal serves not only as a powerful tool in capturing a personal military experience, but also in the raising of awareness and funds for the non-profit organizations who support and serve our military.   A Veteran’s Legacy will be available through select partner organizations beginning mid-September 2010, with retail sales commencing, November 26, 2010.

This concept originated with Jay McChord, an entrepreneur and Council Member for the City of Lexington, KY.  For the past twenty years, Jay has been using his artwork as a means to uniquely capture veteran’s stories and pictures.  Recognizing the need for a journal-style book that would effectively record and organize a veteran’s experience A Veteran’s Legacy journal was born.

A Veteran’s Legacy is proudly the debut project for Gracie Mae Publications.  Gracie Mae Publications  was founded by Nita Clarke who also serves as the company’s Chief Creative Officer. She is a Veteran of the United States Navy, who served as a military journalist. Stephanie Clarke, a graduate of the University of Kentucky, is the Chief Operations Officer  and the project manager for A Veteran’s Legacy.

This journal was published for three simple reasons:

  • Seeks to Honor the sacrifice of every veteran and their families.
  • Supplies an ideal place to Remember and capture the full military experience of every veteran.
  • Serves as an agent to Heal important areas of a veteran’s life .

Additionally, this book promotes the Library of Congress’s Veteran’s History Project.  Gracie Mae Publications encourages all who have Served and purchase this journal to share their stories and pictures with the Library of Congress so they can forever be preserved in American history.
